New Kauli Shad – Big Baitfish Profile for Predator Fishing

The New Kauli Shad 160mm features a long baitfish-shaped body with a contrasting dark back, blue glitter, and a reddish belly. Its soft body and paddle tail create a rolling swimming action as it moves through the water, giving it the appearance of a fleeing baitfish. The large profile makes it a good option when targeting bigger predators or fishing areas where larger baitfish are present. Fish it with a steady retrieve, a slower roll, or changes in speed to explore different depths. Suitable for pike, zander, largemouth bass, and other predatory fish.

FAQ

1. How should I retrieve the New Kauli Shad?

Start with a steady retrieve to create a consistent swimming action. You can also try a slower roll or vary your speed to see how fish respond.

2. Is this 160mm swimbait suitable for targeting bigger pike?

Yes. Its 160mm baitfish profile is suitable for targeting larger pike that feed on bigger prey. Fish it around weed edges, drop-offs, and areas where baitfish gather.

3. What should I do if the lure rolls onto its side?

Check that the lure is rigged straight and that its body is not twisted. Also check that your retrieve is not too fast. A balanced setup helps the bait track properly.

4. How can I fish the New Kauli Shad in deeper water?

Allow the lure to sink before starting your retrieve, then use a slow and steady swimming motion. Adjust the sinking time to reach the depth where fish are holding.

5. What if predators follow the lure without striking?

Try changing your retrieve speed or adding a short pause. You can also let the lure sink a little deeper before continuing, especially when fish are following from below.

6. Is the New Kauli Shad suitable for zander and bass?

Yes. Its large baitfish profile and paddle tail action make it suitable for zander, largemouth bass, pike, and other freshwater predators. Adjust the retrieve and fishing depth to match local conditions.
